Member Spotlight: Gerry Magnaye

It was while working at that FM station that Gerry learned radio production work, a skill that led to him being made Production Director.

He went on to work for several other radio stations not just as an announcer/program host, but also as voice-imager, Creative Production Director, and consultant for Creative Production Services.

Gerry’s work on radio caught the attention of broadcast producers from advertising agencies and he was tapped to do voice-overs for TV and radio commercials. Since then, he has voiced numerous award-winning commercials; he has also been the signature voice for the campaigns of SMART and many other brands.

In 1989, Gerry put up his own audio production facility with its own in-house producer and an extensive voice talent library, AdFARM, which went on to win many awards in various creative competitions. Aside from being a voice actor and radio producer, Gerry is an accomplished sound editor whose meticulous approach to working with sound elements makes him an ideal creative sound partner.

In 2012, The Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines (4AsP) presented Gerry with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution to the local advertising industry.

These days, Gerry spends his days (and nights) as a voice character, a voice performance director, or a radio & audio content producer.
